The Three Year Advertising program offers you a more comprehensive exploration of marketing communications further developing your critical and analytical thinking. Assisted by media arts students, you will actually create and produce a television commercial to add to your portfolio that will be a convincing demonstration of your skills when you look for a job. As a Three-Year student, you also will undertake a two-semester capstone course that allows you to use your earlier training. You will:
- Identify an industry problem
- Analyze the problem offer creative strategies, and write and design creative executions
- Present advertising solutions to peers and industry representatives
Gain Advertising Agency Experience
Students graduating either the second or third year of the Advertising program, may participate in an optional unpaid four-week work experience within the advertising industry. This experience, coupled with your excellent classroom training will equip you well for your career.
The advertising program is located at the Trafalgar Road Campus in Oakville, Ontario.

Program Eligibility
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:
- One English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or ENG4U)
or
- Mature student status. (See "Admissions" section for details.)
Applicant Selection
Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses).
Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs
