Earn the certificates you need as a financial planner

When you’ve completed the Financial Planning program, you will have the opportunity to earn certificates offered by the Canadian Securities Institute for:

  • Canadian Securities Course® (CSC®)
  • Conduct and Practices Handbook Course® (CPH®)


In addition, you’ll be able to:

  • Complete the (L.L.Q.P.) Canadian Insurance Course® (CIC®), a prerequisite for the
    Insurance Life-License Exam
  • Complete the Advocis/CCH Canadian Limited CFP Education Program, a program that qualifies you to challenge the CFP Examination

Additional Costs


In addition to tuition fees, you should be prepared to pay approximately $3,500 for registration with external licensing and accreditation organizations. Fees are subject to change by the institutions.

Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of previous academic achievement, and/or demonstrated experience.

In some cases, applicants may be requested to submit a résumé, which includes details of related work experience, and a cover letter, which summarizes their career goals and reasons for wanting to take this program.

Postsecondary transcripts, indicating courses completed to date, must be submitted to ontariocollegs.ca at the time of application.

Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs.
