In under one year (8 months), Sheridan’s Office Administration Certificate Program, will give you the administrative, software, and interpersonal skills you need to work efficiently in a busy office environment. You will learn how to use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), Windows, and e-calendaring.

Using your personal laptop computer, you can perform class activities, complete assignments, and e-communicate with your professors and classmates. When you graduate from this Office Administration Certificate Program, you will be able to:

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:

  • One English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or ENG4U)

or

Mature student status. (See "Admissions" section for details.)

APPLICANT SELECTION

Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses). Although not a requirement, Grade 12 mathematics or equivalent and basic computer skills are recommended. Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs.
